PPL update to clients: COVID-19
The ongoing Covid-19 outbreak is already having a huge impact on local authorities, social care providers and the general population in the UK, and we’re all still coming to terms with what this will truly mean.
For the last few weeks, PPL has been putting in place several measures to protect our team, our customers and the wider community.
As of Tuesday 17th March, the PPL UK team has been working remotely from home – this is the right thing to do for the team and wider community’s safety. In anticipation of long-term home working, PPL tested remote working for every member of staff over the last few weeks, many of whom work remotely from time to time anyway. We have been operating successfully now for a couple of days and are confident that this arrangement will work on an ongoing basis, with no impact on our customer service or solutions.
For the most part, it’s business as usual at PPL!
We understand that our customers are being affected too, whether it be working from home or being seconded to deliver front-line services - we will continue to support you, whatever your challenges.
Please keep us posted on any updates from your organisation and team, or any matters that may affect service or project delivery and we will work with you to find a solution. This may include things like setting up web conferences to replace face-to-face meetings or arranging secure access to systems from home.
PPL offer a wide range of solutions and services to our clients. If you feel that you need more services to augment your team or solutions to address emerging issues, please contact your project manager or account manager and we will try to help.
We’re also thinking about how we can help customers who are going to be affected in the next few months. We’re looking at how our solutions can help solve problems such as lower staff resources during illness or secondment and how citizens can self-serve while in isolation or lock-down.
The next few months are going to be an uncertain time for us all, but we want to assure you that PPL will be here to support our team, our customers and communities throughout.
Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
